Whether integrating into an RTO, or managing change as an existing Market Participant, successful RTO participation requires streamlined internal business processes and systems.  PSI has successfully worked with our clients to evaluate the impacts, define scope and manage the implementation of changes to support required RTO and Energy Market protocols. 

PSI has helped our Clients  manage RTO changes by providing the following services:

•          Project Management

–         Schedule development and management reporting capabilities for RTO integration

–         Project Monitoring & Control, issue tracking / resolution, communication, etc.

–         Provided strategic guidance and served as a “sounding board” for the client project leadership team

•          Requirements Gathering and Business Process Design

–         Assisted in the implementation of a formalized requirements gathering process.

–         Conducted “Source to Sync” analysis to map the flow of business data and assist in identifying process improvements related to ISO / RTO integration

–         Planned and executed a “Day in the Life of a transaction in PJM”, which allowed key executives and business process owners to better understand how their areas would be impacted by joining PJM

•          Systems Integration

–         Provided resources to perform technical analysis to assist with systems integration

–         Worked closely with software vendors and clients to ensure that software  was properly configured and tested prior to roll out

•          Testing

–         Participated in all aspect of testing related to RTO integration including test plan development, test scripting and test execution and support
